Winning in the Margins

My mom gave my wife a book--The Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me for Women by Richard Paul Evans. I started reading it. It was very interesting and got me thinking about how I can improve my finances. One of the chapters is called "Winning in the Margins", which discusses ways to make extra money, either through savings or earnings.

Several months ago I'd considered starting a side business, pressure washing driveways. I put the idea in the back of my head but after I read the book, it was brought back to the front (back to the front? is that an oxymoron?) Anyway, I had just gotten an unexpected bonus at work so I started researching--even borrowing a friends pressure washer and pressure washing my own driveway to see if it's something I would even want to do.

Well to make a long blog short, I ordered a pressure washer and a surface cleaner online from Northern Tool and Equipment and asked my brother to design a logo for the business. It had to have a Texas Theme. Several drafts later this is what he came up with. I really like it. What do you think?

The company slogan is "your driveway can look brand new".
